Holy Matrimony

St. George's and St. Matthew's facilities are available upon request to church members and the children of church members. Only an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church can officiate at a wedding, although—with permission from the rector—a priest or pastor from another church may assist.

Both the church sanctuary and the undercroft are available for weddings. The sanctuary seats approximately 220 people; The undercroft can be configured for receptions.

The Service

Matrimony is a sacrament of the Church. In the Episcopal Church, the liturgy expresses what we believe about God as well as marriage. It is not for us to define Love; it is instead Love that defines us. Since a wedding is a worship service, it includes an affirmation of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and an affirmation of commitment by both bride and groom to each other. For a full list of our wedding policies, please contact the church office.
