Spiritual Communion

LORD JESUS, I believe that you are present in the most holy sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you with all the affection of my soul and unite myself wholly to you! Never permit me to be separated from you.

For the Dying

O MOST MERCIFUL JESUS, lover of souls, I beseech thee by the agony of thy Sacred Heart and by the sorrows of thy Immaculate Mother Mary, wash in thy precious blood those sinners throughout the world who are to die today/tonight, and are now suffering their last agony.  Amen.

My Day—Let it be a Mass!

—  I bear the world in my heart, and through Christ I offer all to the Father.

My Life—Let it be a Host!

— Heavenly Father, I place my whole being on the paten; soul, body, intellect, and will, for I offer you all that I am and have.

— Let my offering be one with the offering of Jesus for the salvation of souls, and for my own sanctification.

My Life—Let it be the Drop of Water!

—  O my God, I cast every moment of my life into the chalice, especially my sufferings, to be united to the life and sufferings of Jesus Christ who died for me.

On days of Holy Communion:

Momentarily, I shall receive a gift of self at your altar.
Prepare me also to make such a gift.

Prayer to St. Raphael

(patron of travel, patron of healing)

“And Raphael of the glorious seven who stand before the throne of Him who lives and reigns;
Angel of health, the Lord has filled thy hand with balm from heaven to soothe and cure our pain.
Heal and console the victims of disease and guide our steps when doubtful of our ways.”

HOLY RAPHAEL, I entreat thee to help me in all my needs and in all the trials of this life. And since thou art the “physician” of God, I pray thee to heal my soul of its many infirmities, and my body of the ills that afflict it, if this favor be for my greater good. I plead for angelic purity that I may be fit to be the living temple of the Holy Spirit.     Amen

Vouchsafe, O Lord God, to direct thy Holy Archangel Raphael to our help, and may he whom we believe to be ever in attendance on thy majesty, present our poor prayers to thee for thy blessing, through Jesus Christ, who liveth and reigneth world without end.      Amen
