and for the talents you have given others that, in turn, have enriched my life

LORD, I only partly understand but wholly thank you for the love you offer me, and I receive it as unconditional with respect to any personal virtues or achievements of my own.

Prayer for Generosity
O LORD JESUS CHRIST, who though thou was rich, yet for our sakes didst become poor, grant that all over-eagerness and covetousness of earthly goods may die in me, and the desire for heavenly things may live and grow in me. Keep me from all idle and vain expenses, that I may always have to give to those who needeth, and that giving not grudgingly nor of necessity, but cheerfully, I may be loved of thee and be made through thy merits a partaker of the riches of thy heavenly treasure. Amen
